Hidden City Overall Review

On the topic of 'Hidden City: London' I was meant to show the secret and hidden places of the city I live in. Basically bringing the old into new light and new forms.
The main ideas were to take photographs of buildings and people. The ideas I brought accross were the ideas of minimal areas such as small market places, religious followings and even lifestyles such as gypsies that move around alot.
Although I never got around to seeing these particular ideas in full swing I did do the following ideas:
  • Architecture of London, Old and New.
  • Retail people in a busy season such as christmas.

The retail people were in fact people from my local area and they allowed me to take photographs of them in their work place. But I did try further into London as it was drawing me to take photographs of landmark assistants.
This linked tightly into my photographers Shirley Baker and Helmut Newton who both showed different aesthetics of people in their times.
The other topic was the architecture which comes more from the old and new ideas of Noemie Goudal's work who did use buildings to paste her own photography on bringing the old into the new light.
This lead to the new ideas of a personal topic called 'Things in places they should not be'.
